Printing Press for Beginners Workshop
This is an Introduction to Lino printing using our new printing press.
You will draw a design on the lino, then carve parts of the lino away to create the image. Then we roll lino printing ink on it and using the press to print it on paper. The technique is simple and you will soon gain confidence with the press. Pablo Picasso liked the bold, simplified forms that linocut readily produced, so he used it to make posters.
Your Workshop Instructor – Jayney Carter
Jayney Carter is one of our long term MACC Members, an Arts Teacher with a life time of experience in printmaking. Jayney will ensure that you have a fun and relaxed day whilst building your printmaking skills.
Cost: $85 for MACC Members or $95 for Non MACC Members.
Fees includes all materials required to complete the workshop.

Things to Bring
Print apron or old clothes and enclosed shoes.
You could also bring a 15 x 15cm drawing or photograph that you would like to make into a print. Great for making personalised gift cards.
