Terms & Conditions of Entry

Entries will only be accepted from entrants residing in these listed postcodes or from those who are a Murrurundi Arts & Crafts Council ( MACC ) Financial Members

  • 2328, 2329, 2330, 2333, 2336, 2337, 2338, 2339, 2340, 2341, 2342, 2343

Entry Fees

  • $15 per artwork for Non-MACC Members Maximum 3 entries

  • $10 per artwork for MACC members. Maximum 3 entries

  • Free entry for 18 years & under under limit 2 entries

  • All entry fees are non-refundable

Size and Weight & Hanging requirements quilts excluded

  • Entries must be framed and ready for hanging with D rings etc

  • Maximum size of artworks is not to exceed 1200mm x 1200mm inclusive of frame

  • Maximum weight of 10 kilos unless prior arrangements have been made with MACC

Delivery of Works

Works to be delivered to Murrurundi RSL Hall, 116 Mayne Street Murrurundi on:

  • Saturday 22nd August  10am – 4pm

  • Sunday 23rd August 10am – 4pm

  • Works must be titled for identification purposes.   Please print and complete Artwork Labels prior to delivering your artworks

Commission

A sales commission of 20% will be charged for all works sold.

Works

Works – Paintings

Entries must be the original work of the artist. Works must not have been shown previously in any competition in Murrurundi. No photographs will be accepted. All catalogued entries in this category will be judged and are eligible for the Best in Show Award which is non-acquisitive. Painting is the act or process of using paint and includes watercolour (or other water based paints), oils, acrylics, tempera, gouache, encaustic, ink or pastels.

Works – Crafts

Sculpture, and other Arts & Crafts (excluding Paintings) Entries must be the original work of the artist. Works must not have been shown previously in any competition in Murrurundi. No photographs will be accepted. All catalogued entries in this category will be judged and are eligible for the Best in Show Award which is non-acquisitive.

Works Textiles & Fabrics

All works made of fabric, yarn and textiles.  Examples are Quilts, clothing, millinery and knitwear.  Entries must be the original work of the artist. Works must not have been shown previously in any competition in Murrurundi. No photographs will be accepted. All catalogued entries in this category will be judged and are eligible for the Best in Show Award which is non-acquisitive.

Media & Our Right to reproduce Artworks

Murrurundi Arts & Crafts Council reserves the right to reproduce entered Artworks in the Media and produce and sell reproductions of the Artworks (including but not limited to photos. prints, postcards, catalogues, and digital copies) for the purposes of fundraising, education, and the promotion of this and future Art Prizes and Exhibitions.

Care

All care will be taken however no liability by the Murrurundi Arts & Crafts Council Inc will be accepted for loss or damage while on exhibition.

Collection of Works

Monday 7th September between 9am & 4pm

Alternate pick up arrangements must be made at the time of artwork delivery. 

Unclaimed entries become the property of the Murrurundi Arts & Crafts Council.
